Minimal Luggage extended

Minimal Luggage was born on 2005 when italian guitarist Walter Beltrami and german drummer Andreas Brandis first met in Luzern, where they were both engaged as sidemen in an ensemble of contemporary music. On 2008, bassist Roberto Bordiga joined the band, originally focused on radical improvisation, for a series of successfull concerts between Italy, Germany and Switzerland which soon persuaded the 3 musicians to put that music on a record and work steadidy with this group.
All gifted with a strong musical personality, both in language and sound exploration, they gave birth to a band that sounds really fresh and original and is able to range from total improvisation to complex and tight grooves and songs. The result is a very high-energetic music which is volcanic, unpredictable and surprisingly open in its improvisations but also on more structured pieces. The compositions, all originals, are influenced by a plurality of styles which becomes a unique genre thanks to the strong coherence and sound identity of the band that manages to handle both intricate themes and lyrical melodies with an equal elegance and spontaneity.
